What if…?

The Sales & Marketing Pro’s Super Power — the ability to sell anything to anyone.

What if you could sell anything to anyone? What would that look like?

What would that feel like? What would that mean to your career and your job prospects and to your legacy expertise? Well, you’d be unstoppable. That’s what.

The ability to sell anything to anyone is a Superpower. 🦸‍♂️ It is one you can work toward if you choose.

Some people possess it already. Some of your heroes and mentors have it. Some of the authors you read have it. Some of the Entertainers you love possess it. Even some down-to-Earth people have it.

There are sales & marketing secrets…

What does it take to get it? It takes knowledge, expertise, TONs of rehearsal and live / field action, built up knowledge base, a massive amount of generosity and default willingness to share, with a few more ingredients baked-in. It is important to note that it is achievable. You can do this because others have, just like breaking the 4 minute mile or the solo Entrepreneur making $1 mm off of one promotion. It is doable. You, too, can do this with the right properties and parameters set forth before with lots of practice.

There’s another sales & marketing secret…

There’s another secret for those who can sell anything. For those that can sell anything, the ‘anything’ is the variable, not the person. The person is the constant expert. The secret to selling anything to anyone is not the thing being sold at all. No. The secret to selling anything to anyone is figuring out your audience first.

Figure out your audience first. Ask: “Who is this for?”

Everybody wants something. You have to figure out your people first. Who’s your who? *Who is this for*?

So many of us start with the thing. “Here’s my thing. It has X quality. Buy now.” And then we wonder why nobody cares. Nobody cares because you started with the thing that nobody cares about. Most important: you started with your thing, with your stuff. That makes you selfish. Nobody cares what you got out of the gate. No. Not even on late-night TV infomercials. And you don’t either when people pitch to you like this. It is an equal playing field.

You’ve never marketed enough. You’ve never given enough. You can never give too much.

When you begin with giving and continue with giving, you’re creating. And creativity is limitless. I see giving and creating as near synonymous — practically the same things, the same actions. They even feel the same. You can’t “over give” just like you can’t “over create.” No. Doesn’t work that way. You can only give and create, give and create, give and create. And away you go. If more people would make their default actions to create vs. to consume, the entire world would change for the better. The culture would shift. Things we care about would definitely shift. We’d all be living enhanced and enriched lives while injecting tremendous meaning into them (vs. taking meaning from things and people).

How much creating do you have in your schedule today?

Schedule it like you’re developing a skill. Block out the time and GO! Whatever it is for you, figure out how you can help people with their stuff. Coach. Train. Teach. Lead. Consult. Paint. Play. Build. Design. Launch. Laugh out Loud (be sure to pass that along — laughter is contagious, too. In fact, while I’m at it, try to be the funniest person you know). Get after these things /now/! Today! Cut-out something else far less important in favor of one of these because all of these build legacies. Remember: we need you at your best self giving now more than ever before. Now more than ever! Your. Best. Self. GO! ###
